"Getting to test out new toys is always fun," Jared tells us, adding, "But I think it's the feeling of accomplishment, knowing that he's created something that people enjoy watching, that brings him the most joy. For me, every project is just another great excuse to spend more time with my family."
Evan has been given countless toys to review on his show, but his favorites are his LEGO sets, which are displayed on a shelf when completed. As for all the other toys and games, most are given away or donated to charity. "We participate in a number of toy drives throughout the year," says Jared. "It's a great a way to give back to the community and [it's a] good life lesson for the kids."
"We have a great time creating videos," he continues. "I try and make each shoot as fun as possible, and I think that's why so many kids enjoy watching them. Evan and I will brainstorm the concept of each video prior to shooting. I have to admit, some of the best ideas are his!"
Evan has two more channels - EvanTubeRAW, the family's adventure channel, andEvanTubeGaming, his video game channel. Jared shoots and edits every video that goes on each channel.
"While creating content for three channels definitely keeps me busy in the editing department, everything we shoot for those two channels are fun things we'd be doing together as family anyway, regardless of whether or not a video was being created," he says.
Evan's channels have earned a significant amount of revenue, and though Jared won't reveal how much, he says all of it goes toward savings and investment accounts for their children. By the time Evan is old enough to enroll in college, his tuition may very well be entirely paid for by the videos he made as a boy.
The proud dad believes that these videos have helped Evan become more confident - as well as his sister Jillian, who appears in a few. "I've already seen significant growth in not only creative and communication skills, but also in self-confidence and self-expression," he says of his children.
"I'm sure we'll have a good time looking back on all these things we did together when the kids are older."
